Aleknagik Natives Limited (ANL) is an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) located in the Bristol Bay region in southwest Alaska. Aleknagik Natives Limited is a village corporation as established by Congress under terms of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) in 1971. Formed in 1973, Aleknagik Natives Limited works to fulfill our vision that – With one mind, we shall move forward to empower, enrich, and shape our traditional way of life.

RurAL CAP Mutual Self-Help Housing Program
Building Homes, Strengthening Our Community
Aleknagik Natives Limited (ANL) is proud to partner with RurAL CAP (Rural Alaska Community Action Program) to help bring new homeownership opportunities to ANL shareholders and residents of Aleknagik through the Mutual Self-Help Housing Program.
This program helps eligible families achieve affordable homeownership by working together to build their own homes. Participating families contribute their time and labor alongside other families, with construction guidance, training, and technical assistance provided through RurAL CAP.
How the Program Works
Through the Mutual Self-Help Housing Program, qualifying participants may benefit from:
Affordable Homeownership: Opportunities for eligible families to become homeowners through qualifying financing programs.
Sweat Equity: Families work together to build their homes, reducing construction labor costs.
Training and Support: RurAL CAP provides guidance throughout the construction and homeownership process.
Community Partnerships: ANL supports the program by helping connect eligible families with opportunities in Aleknagik, including potential use of ANL homesite lots.
Building a Stronger Aleknagik
This partnership reflects ANL’s commitment to strengthening our community, supporting shareholders, and creating opportunities for future generations. By working together, we can help more families establish permanent homes in Aleknagik.
