Aleknagik Natives Limited (ANL)

Aleknagik Natives Limited (ANL) is an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) located in the Bristol Bay region in southwest Alaska. Aleknagik Natives Limited is a village corporation as established by Congress under terms of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) in 1971. Formed in 1973, Aleknagik Natives Limited works to fulfill our vision that – With one mind, we shall move forward to empower, enrich, and shape our traditional way of life.

Aleknagik Natives Limited is driven by our vision and mission to serve our shareholders with integrity and purpose.

Our vision, encapsulated in the Yupik translation “Ataucimek umyuarluta, ciutmurciiqukut pinircauteklu Kencikluku yuuyararput,” guides us to move forward together, empowering, enriching, and preserving our traditional way of life.

In line with our mission statement, expressed in the Yupik translation “Yugtauluni corporation – aaq shareholderaani pitekluki amllerillerkait –ggun tukutekateng cali-llu nunam auluklerkaa,” we strive to be a profitable Alaska Native Village Corporation.

We aim to enhance shareholder prosperity by providing opportunities such as higher education scholarships, vocational education scholarships, homesites, and dividends. Additionally, we are committed to protecting the land entrusted to us, ensuring sustainability and preservation for future generations.

Through these endeavors, ANL seeks to fulfill its vision and mission, fostering economic growth, cultural preservation, and community well-being for our shareholders and their descendants.


ANL SHAREHOLDER RECOGNITION AWARDS 2026

This year, for the very first time, ANL is proud to honor the people who make our community extraordinary.

Nominations are now open for three inaugural awards:

-Youth of the Year (ANL shareholder or descendant, ages 8-25, who has demonstrated academic excellence, cultural participation, leadership, volunteerism, or advocacy for the shareholder community.)

-Elder of the Year (ANL Shareholder in good standing who is 65 years or older who has demonstrated wisdom, mentorship, cultural stewardship, and lifelong service to the ANL shareholder community.)

-Citizen of the Year (ANL shareholder or descendant who has demonstrated outstanding community service, volunteerism, civic leadership, or contributions that positively reflect on the ANL shareholder community.)

Do you know someone who deserves to be celebrated? Submit your nominations by 5 pm, May 25, 2026. Awards will be presented at the ANL Annual Meeting on May 30, 2026.
